  The lotus root field that had grown the best so far
  All of it was eaten by wild boars...
  
  Renkon-san's dream is to eat lotus roots and increase the number of smiles.
  But there is not a single lotus root...
  
  I feel like I'm giving up on my dream
  I don't have the money to continue chasing my dream
  
  Everything was about to go dark.
  At such times
  I wrote a diary to help me stand up for my dream again.

  After the Kawasaki Kamozu lecture
  I went home and thought back on everything that had happened up until now.
  
  If I hadn't met Kamo-san...
  
  That day I was born
  That I lived in that town
  That I took a day off
  That I worked at that company
  That I went to that school
  That it was sunny that day
  That the moon was beautiful that night
  That I spoke to you that time
  That I realized that time
  That I made up my mind that time
  That I screamed that time
  That we broke up that time
  That I said I loved you that time
  
  Without feeling any pain or joy, I would have remained unaware of the happy life I have now.
  
  Since I was in middle school, I have wanted to do this job
  Architect
  
  That dream came true
  I worked in the construction industry for 16 years.
  
  I worked hard and experienced many sites, and the site that stood out to me at the time was the "power plant." I struggled and struggled until finally, as the site representative, I was in charge of the power plant. (But it was going to be my last site...)
  
  The Great Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake
  This happened while we were building a building in Tohoku
  All sites stopped
  
  There were people and families affected by the disaster...

• When I saw the damaged city and buildings,
  my pride in architecture
  went to pieces.
  
  At the same time,
  I decided to do what I could to protect and value nature.
  
  I immediately quit my job and got a job dealing with vegetables.
  
  While I was in nature,
  I always thought about my six daughters, who I had married and divorced twice during my 16 years in the construction industry.
  
  "Was I glad that I was their parent?"
  
  This thought kept going round and round in my head, and day by day, it grew stronger, and before I knew it, I was regretting every day, and my smiles were gradually disappearing.
  
  While I was worrying like that,
  I discovered Kamo's YouTube!
  
  After watching Kamo's YouTube,
  I thought, "Let's change ourselves!"
  "Let's become parents that our children can be proud of!"
  
  I don't know where my children are...

• That's why!
  
  I want to become famous so that my name can reach people no matter where I live!
  
  A burning desire welled up in me🔥
  
  However, my attempt at growing vegetables didn't go well.
  
  In the first year, I discovered a lotus root field and started cultivating it.
  
  In the second year, some lotus roots started to grow!
  
  In the third year, a terrible typhoon came and damaged the lotus roots, destroying them.
  
  In the fourth year, I recovered and started growing lotus roots again from scratch.
  
  In the fifth year, the lotus roots grew more smoothly than ever!
  
  Just when I thought that I could finally get all the people who supported me to eat the lotus roots, they were eaten by wild boars just before the sixth year's harvest and destroyed them.
  
  The field was also in ruins...
  
  If I had to keep trying to grow lotus roots again, I would have been anxious and worried if I had been my past self.
  
  However long I had learned from Kamo-san, and with so many friends around, I naturally felt the desire to move forward.
  
  Until my children smile even under the distant sky and think that it was good that they were born! Through what I have learned from Kamo-san, I will continue to imagine my ideal future, and I will definitely keep looking to the future and taking on new challenges until the day when a large lotus-like flower blooms!! The title of Kamo-san's lecture this time was "Dreams and Money are 90% of the Time"

• The title that Renkon had in mind was "Each Challenge".
  
  Seeing everyone he met through Kamo's lectures take on new challenges, he always felt encouraged.
  
  Thanks to that, Kamo's lectures were fully booked!
  
  The crowdfunding campaign was a huge success!
  
  It made my soul tremble with the thought that life is so wonderful!
